The ingredients needed to make Easy and Quick Temari Sushi:
  1. Get 100 grams Pickled sea bream
  2. Make ready 100 grams Smoked salmon
  3. Make ready 1 Cucumber
  4. Take 450 ml Sushi rice

Temari sushi - 手まり寿司 - or temarizushi - are round balls of sushi rice topped decoratively with ingredients like sashimi, vegetables, seaweed sheets and fish roe. Typically molded onto the iconic round shape using plastic wrap, they can be garnished as elaborately or as simply as you'd like. Temari sushi is named after the temari balls that they resemble. These traditional balls are Japanese toys made out of leftover scraps of kimono fabric.

Steps to make Easy and Quick Temari Sushi:
  1. Cool the sushi rice and season with whatever you like. For a spalsh of colour, I've added some finely chopped cucumber.
  2. Cut the salmon and sea bream into bite sized pieces.
  3. Place a piece of salmon or seabream on top of a piece of cling film, then add a heaped tablespoon of cooled sushi rice on top.
  4. Wrap the sashimi and rice in cling film and mould the sushi. Repeat this step until all of the ingredients are used up.
  5. Serve on a plate to finish!

Because of their round shape, it's a lot easier to make temari sushi than other types of sushi. Just remember to pair flavors that go well together and. As you can see, it's really easy to make.
